Warwick Women’s Golf notes 1st November,2021 Wednesday 27th October The Warwick RSL Memorial, Mid Week Medal was played and to accompany the hot weather we had some pretty hot scores as well. Congratulations to Tub Ingall taking home the winners prize in Division 1 with a fabulous school of 68 nett, Tub’s playing partner Annice Payne was runner up from a count back to Margie Adcock with 73 nett, well done ladies. Tub on form also took out the putting with 25putts. Another hot score in Division 2 was Di Johnstone with 69 nett. Wendy Rhea was runner up with 73 nett and Yvonne Pinington won the putting with 28 putts. Balls in the rundown went to Margie Adcock 73, Sam Hinze, Helen Olsen & Sharron Cooper all with 74. Pro Pin, Judy Stiff, Margie Adcock, Mel McLennan & Narelle Norris – Welcome to our club, Narelle. The following scores Yvonne Pinington 74, Jill Barnes 75, Trish Bell 76, Janine Stewart 77, Narelle Norris & Majella Kahler 78, Judy Stiff 79, Mel McLennan 81, Michelle Wright & Lyn McKillop 82, Maria Carey 83 & Ros Darton 87. Congratulations to Gill Young who took line honours in our 9 hole competition on Wednesday. Gill had a solid 17 points, surviving a 3 way countback with Jan Aspinall & Anne Tomkins. Congratulations Ladies, you have all been playing great golf, no doubt you are all happy with your results. Saturday saw some fun for Halloween Ghostly Ball Event Thank you to all our participants in this year's Halloween team game - Jill, Lisa, Maria & Judy; Yvonne, Janine, Lyn & Jan; Janet, Patti, Patricia & Helen; Sam, Michelle, Joely & Roslyn. There were some great costumes and buggy decorations. Also, we heard reports of some good golf, great company, a little singing and plenty of laughter. Congratulations to Jill Barnes, Lisa Weatherley, Maria Carey & Judy Stiff for winning the event with 116 points. Also, to runner-ups Sam Hinze, Michelle Wright, Joely Singleton & Roslyn Darton with 100 points. Sam was in the hole with a lovely chip to take out the Pro Pin on the 13th. Judy and Roslyn were also on the Pro Pin. Sunday we had our Greenkeepers day with a 2 Ball Ambose. The theme was to wear something yellow in honour of “DoingItForJarrod” raising funds in support of Kids with Cancer. We had a really good turn out and raised some vital funding for Cancer.
