Last Saturday 48 members played in the single stableford event with David Brady scoring a runaway win with 42 points.
Enjoying a 33 handicap and the very early morning start, David won by a compelling 4 shots from runner up Scott McLennan. Scott was runner up on a countback from Evan Pfeffer.
The ball run down saw Evan, Ted King Leon Sticklen, Viv Roser and Ray Dudley all get balls on 37.
The pro pin saw Scott McLennan win 4 balls, Chris Hynes 3, Charlie Morrison 2 and Matty Tate and Neville Heard a ball each.
The pin shot on 5 went to comp winner David Brady with Leon winning the 7th, Evan the 9th, Eddy Raets the 11th and Peter Balfour the 16th.
Apart from the runaway winner the field was well bunched with much more than half the field scoring between 37 and 33 points.
The Patron's Day was conducted on Sunday and an excellent field of 44 players in the mixed event paid tribute to Patron Rodney Macdonald and the excellent work that he has put into the club over a long period of time. President Don Stewart acknowledged that history at presentation and Rodney was there to present the winners on the day.
The winning couple with a remarkable score of 50 points off their handicaps were Peter and Michelle Wright. Their score was helped in no uncertain terms by Peter having a hole in one on the 13th and three other birdies. Congratulations to both players and in particular to Peter on his hole in one.
The runners up with an ever more remarkable score off their handicaps were Brendan Landrigan and Sam Hinze with 48 points.
The run down saw Cec and Gail Watts on 47 points, Mick and Annice Payne on 46 and Con Seibel and Von Pinington , Don Warrener and Joley and Shane and Molly Scotney on 45 and Simon and Di Macdonald on 44 points.
