Warwick Women’s Golf 

Wednesday 4th November  Today 27 women enjoyed a sunny day of golf generously sponsored by The Coffee Club Warwick. A night off cooking, or afternoon tea with friends was waiting for our winner, who had a great score of 37pts congratulations Melanie McLennan and our runner-up was Roslyn Darton with 35pts. Balls in the rundown went to Patti Hemmings 35pts, Anna Cox 34pts, Janine Stewart & Di Evans 33pts.  The extra balls went to Tub Ingall, Di Macdonald, Majella Kahler and Helen Olsen all had 31pts. The following field Sharron Cooper & Ann Tomkins 30pts, Gwen Porter, Joan Burt & Jill Barnes 29pts, Janet Davis, Margie Adcock, Yvonne Pinington & Gwen Mills 28pts, Annice Payne 27pts, Marge Burley 26pts, Jean Fysh 23pts, Ann Ellis 21pts, Michelle Wright 20pts, Joy Bowls & Janet Aspinall 18pts & Di Johnston 16pts. Birdies today for Melanie on the 13th and 16th, Anna on the 3rd, Sharron on the 10th, Janine on the 11th, Tub on the 16th.

Saturday 7th November   We had a field of 24 ladies compete in the Monthly Medal and in Division 1 our winner was Majella Kahler with a net score of 72, closely followed by Sam Hinze with 73. Majella also took home the putting prize with 29 putts. Division 2 winner was Lou Carey with a great score of 71 net as well as  winning the putting prize with 29 putts. Helen Olsen was the runner up with 73 net. Balls in the run down went to Di Evans, Ann Tompkins, Jill Barnes, Mary Young 74, Danielle Siebel, Tub Ingall 75, Gwen Mills 76 and Yvonne Pinington 77. The following field in Division 1 Liz Cockram 77, Annice Payne 78, Melanie McLennan & Molly Seibel 79, Anna Cox 80, Margie Adcock & Judy Lester 81, Kath Devereux 83. Division 2 Roslyn Darton 79, Anne Lyons 82, Sharron Cooper 84, Jacqui Millard 92.

On Saturday 14th we play a Single Stableford sponsor TBC. Don’t forget to organise your partners for our Patron, Rod Macdonald’s day on Sunday 15thfor a 4BBB Mixed Stableford.Wednesday the 18th we play a  Single Stableford 18/9 hole comp sponsored by Warwick Sandstone off the white markers.

Shootout shirts, can you please have a look on the notice board in the ladies restroom and add your shirt size.

Don’t forget to support the Women’s AGM held on Sunday 22nd November at 1.30pm, any ideas you would like raised please add to the sheet in the presentation room and also the Warwick Golf Club's  AGM is on Monday 23rd November. Prior to the meeting, at 6.30pm, paramedic Kerrin Delaney has kindly volunteered to demonstrate the use of the defibrillators that the club has purchased. We are encouraging members to be there before the AGM to learn the use of these life-saving pieces of equipment. The AGM will start at 7pm.
