Men - 1/9/2020

Last Saturday 60 members played in the single stableford competition and we saw a welcome return of the nearest the pin shots on the par 3 holes.
The supercoach Phil Economides was spotted last week having lessons with Sam the Pro on the practice range and guess what :-  he comes out and wins on Saturday.
Phil recorded 39 points to have a two shot win over Michael Watt and turn around some ordinary form of recent weeks. Well done to you Phil (and also to Sam who might become the new Supercoach).
The ball run down saw Rhys Farrell and the in form Evan Pfeffer record 37 points, another in form player in Mal Galloway recorded 36 along with Eddie Kemp and Al Matthews while Brendan Landrigan and Scott McLennan both had 35 points.
The pin shots went to Peter Boney on the 5th and the 11th, Scott McLennan on the 7th, Dave Speedy on the 9th and Doug Wilson on the 16th.
The pro pin saw Doug Wilson up to his old tricks winning 4 balls, Scott McLennan 3, Evan Pfeffer, Ross Bell and Mark Thomas 2 each and Charlie Morrison a ball.
Don't forget that the match play championships are starting very shortly and in fact nominations close at 6.00pm on this coming Saturday so please nominate in your respective grades if you haven't already done so. The seeded draw will take place on Sunday and be posted on the clubhouse board early next week so we all look forward to this important championship in all three grades.
