Last Saturday at the Warwick Golf Club Terry Bennett had his best day for months when he won the Oak Tree Retirement single stableford event.
Oak Tree have been good sponsors in recent years and the club thanks them for their ongoing support.
Terry never leaves the fairway and only has to have a good day with the flat stick and approach shots to always be near the money and did all of those things well on Saturday.
He had 40 points to win by two shots from Wayne Wells who was runner up on a countback.
The run down saw Neil Moore and Ed Kemp on 38 also, Jay Roberts visiting from Clifton, Bert Bownds and Bill Morrison on 36, Mick Payne on 35, Slim Eldridge, Ross Bell, Rhys Farrell, Peter Millard, Mick Banks and Wayne Watt all on 34 and Eddy Raets was the only 33 to get a ball.
Next Saturday members play in the John Dee monthly medal stroke event and the following Saturday members play in the 4BBB H/cap matchplay qualifyer which is sponsored by Advance Metal Products so players should be getting a good partner for that popular event. This is one of the few 4BBB events on the calendar so is sure to attract a good field.
