Our first day back playing in fours last Saturday saw another good field of 61 players despite the horrible conditions on the day.
One of our newest members in William Martin was the runaway winner on the day recording a whopping 47 points. Great round William!! What a way to record your first club win.
You had to feel for the runner up in Ted King who had 43 points which would win nine out of ten games.
The ball run down saw Wayne Wells on 41 points, Michael Hoskin on 40, Adam Hart, Gary Millard and Peter Balfour all on 37, Alex McKinlay, Peter Millard and Danny Lyons all on 36 while Trevor Rock, Scott Rollinson, Terry Bennett, Brodie Quirk and Bob Lester all recorded 35.
It was good to get back on to the 4th and 9th greens albeit the holes were longer and I'm sure more difficult if you are talking about the 9th.
Next Saturday members play a single stableford and mixed players should remember the Lane Cup qualifier is to be played on Sunday 7th June. Top eight pairs qualify for the only mixed match play event on the calendar .
