Warwick Women’s Golf Notes for October 2
On Wednesday we played the Mid Week Medal sponsored by RSL Memorial Club. There were 22 ladies playing and Nachcha Craggs won Division 1 with 70 nett. Ellie Casey was runner up with 74 nett. Nachcha won the putting with a very good 26 putts. Tracy Spinetti won Division 2 with 71 nett and Diane Johnston was runner up with 73 nett. Patricia Eastwell won the putting with 32 putts. Balls in the rundown were awarded to Gwen Mills and Janine Stewart with 75, Jill Barnes with 77 and Helen Olsen with 78. The approach on 7 was won by Gwen Mills and the graded on 14 went to Melanie McLennan, on 12 to Nachcha Craggs and on 17 to Judy Stiff. Nachcha won 2 balls and Gwen and Marg Adcock won 1 ball each in the Pro Pin on 16. Congratulations also to Janine Stewart who won the circle prize for her great shot on the 11.

On Saturday we played a FLAG Single Stroke sponsored by Coles. 19 ladies played and Janet Davis had a very good round to finish with 69 nett to win the day. At the 18thhole she still had one more shot to play so the flag finished up where her drive landed on the 1st fairway. Well played Janet. Anne Lyons was runner up with 72 nett. Balls in the rundown were awarded to Gwen Mills 74 and Helen Olsen 75. The approach on 11 was won by Sam Hinze. The graded on 9 went to Mary Young, Liz Ellis and Janet Davis. Louise Carey and Di Evans each won 2 balls in the Pro Pin on 16 as they both managed to have birdies!
Other score on the day were: A Cox 75, A Payne, L Wilson, S Hinze, D Evans, M Adcock and L Ellis all 76, M Young 77, J Barnes 79, Z Crook 80, E Cockram 81, D Seibel and L Carey 84, Y Pinington and M McLennan 86.
On Thursday several Warwick ladies played in the Toowoomba Golf Club’s Carnival of Flowers Day. All enjoyed playing on the course and also the hospitality of the ladies of Toowoomba Club.
Sunday was a very successful fundraiser for the Granite Belt Fire Victims as 100 players enjoyed a 2 ball ambrose. $3500 is to be donated to the local CWA for distribution where needed.

Wednesday 2nd October is a Single Stableford sponsored by Cherry Tree Coffee and Dining and Saturday 5th October iis the Monthly Medal Single Stroke sponsored by Condamine Club Hawker Road. Sunday 6th October is the 4BBB Mixed Stroke Lane Cup qualifying round sponsored by Warwick Hotel.
