Last Saturday members played in The Malthouse single stableford and the club recognizes and appreciates the on going support from this fine establishment.
The winner on the day with 40 points and winning on a countback was Chris Hynes playing off a 9 handicap so well done to you Chris.
He defeated Duayne Burmeister on a countback who received the runner up prize over Darrell Bail who also recorded 40 points so things were tight at the top.
The run down following Darrell saw Josh Hynes just behind big brother with 39 points and then Michael Kairouz on 38 and his playing partner Trevor Rock on 37. Samual Delaney outshone Keiran getting the last ball on 37.
The pin shots went to the in form Dave Speedy on the 5th, Josh on the 7th, Ben Griffiths on the 9th, Scott McLennan on 11 and the new look Rod Hansen on the 16th.
The pro pin on 13 saw Evan Pfeffer win three balls, Geoff Hinze 2 balls and Simon Macdonald and Neville Heard a ball each while Geoff Hinze also won the approach.
The chicken run on Friday saw the ladies do very well with Molly Seibel winning the event with 20 points defeating Bert Bowndes on 18 points. The pin shot on 5 went to Cahal Davis while run down winners were Michael Ford, Scott Stretton and Judy Lester getting the last ball with 16 points. There was a good field playing in the chicken run despite and cold and windy conditions so 20 points was a very good performance and congratulations to Molly.
Next Saturday we play a single stableford sponsored by the Horse and Jockey Hotal Motel and the Zone Championships are on at Inglewood on Sunday so make arrangements to play there if you are interested and good luck to those that are travelling to play in that championship.
Good to see the boys in the corner, Bob and Trevor, back in business and taking up their usual places last Saturday.
