David Craggs was unlucky to lose two weeks ago when he had 66 net but lost the event on a countback to Scott McLennan however Dave was not going to make the same mistake twice in a row.

On Saturday he recorded 42 points to win clearly by three shots from runner up Caleb King. For his efforts Dave wins the Horse and Jockey voucher while Caleb wins the sleeve of balls as runner up. The club expresses their thanks to the sponsors who have been loyal to the club for some time now.

Also on 39 points was Dave Speedy who was the first of the run down winners followed by Don Warrener  and Evan Pfeffer both on 38, Wayne Watt and Gunther Nicklich both on 37 and Charlie Morrison having a nice round for 36 points.

The pin shots were won by new member Joseph Levick on the 5th ( congratulations and welcome) Rhys Farrell on the 7th, Slim Eldridge on the 9th and 16th and Charlie Morrison on the 11th.

The pro pin on 13 saw Lawrie Hewson win 4 balls, Matt Tate 3, Geoff Hinze 2 and Wayne Watt, Peter Farrell and Doug Wilson a ball each. Well done to Lawrie winning his first pro pin.

On Monday  which is the public holiday May 6th, we play a 2 ball ambrose sponsored by Thailand Golf Tours ( a unique golf experience) who conduct the “Queen of Clubs” ladies golf week in Vietnam in November plus stacks of other trips away so come along and you will get some first hand advice on these opportunities. There are Mens and Womens and Mixed events on the day with drinks and a BBQ on the deck from 11.00am with all proceeds from the day going to the Warwick Golf Club.

This should be a great day out and all for the benefit of the Warwick Club and as well you will get information on many possible golf trips and trip discounts as well as some novelty prizes and run downs.

The shot gun start commences at 11.30am so get there early and have a drink and a snag prior to hit off.
