WARWICK WOMEN’S GOLF NOTES FOR WEDNESDAY 24TH APRIL, 2019
Last Wednesday we played for a trophy sponsored by Red Rooster. Michelle Wright continued her recent good form and won the Stableford competition with 35 points. Anne Lyons was runner up with 31 points. Most of the field found scoring rather difficult with Michelle and Anne the only two players to score in the thirties. The four balls in the run down went to Mary Young, Majella Kahler, Jill Barnes and Donna Keogh all with 29 points. Congratulation ladies and thank you to Neil McCosker from Red Rooster for his valued sponsorship.
The approach on the 7th in Division 1 went to our visitor Kath Devereux. Good to see you back playing again Kath. Donna Keogh took out Division 2 and also won the all in approach on the 13th and Judy Stiff won Division 3.
Anna Cox was close to the hole for her second shot on the 16th winning two balls in the Pro Pin. Judy Lester and Tub Ingall also won a ball each for their approaches.

With many players away on Saturday we only just had enough for a competition. Lois Wilson with 32 Stableford points won and Nachcha Craggs was runner up with 31 points. Danielle Seibel had 28, Trish Roberts 25 and Molly Seibel had buggy troubles! With this small field we had two all in pins. The one on the front nine was won by Nachcha and we had a skinner on the 11th. Nachcha also won the Pro pin.
Today we look forward to a bigger field with players returning after the Easter and school holiday break. A chance to work off some of our excess weight gained from eating too many Easter eggs and hot cross buns!We will be contesting the Mid Week Medal in two divisions kindly sponsored by the RSL Memorial Club. On Saturday is the Digger’s Cup which is an Open Single Stableford event with trophies provided by the Friendly Societies Chemist. Our fun 9 hole Ambrose event is on Sunday 28th April starting at 2pm. Please let Judy or Mary know if you would like to play.
Finally welcome to all the visitors in town from around the world for the Adina Polocrosse World Cup. I know there are a number of golfers among you so please if you have the time give the Pro Shop a call on 46 61 3664 and enjoy a round on our beautiful Warwick course.
