Saturday 12th January is the 1st round a Single Stroke Hawker Road Function Centre sponsored Monthly Medal on the white course played in 2 Divisions. The putting competition will also start played in 2 divisions.
The 2019 competitions also commence this Saturday. All members are encouraged to pay their entry fee of $40.00 for all competitions or competitions of their choice as soon as possible. The nomination forms will be available in the ladies’ powder room or presentation room. Please place fees in envelope provided and place in the locked box in the ladies’ powder room. A reminder that to be eligible for a score to count nominations must be paid prior to the start of play.
Captain Mary has provided details of all competitions, point allocations for the winter and mid-week competitions, state competitions and conditions of play. Please take the time to read them. They will be on the notice boards in the presentation room and powder room.
A reminder also that the rules of golf changed on the 1st January 2019 and it is a good idea if you have not already done so to pick up a new rules book available in the clubhouse. www.golf.org.au has all details. A reminder also there is a copy of the revised Local Rules for Warwick Golf Club posted around the club and as there are changes it is wise to read prior to the commencement of play. Preferred Lie through general area (ex through the green) is now in play, one card length no nearer the hole.
The program for January will be available via the club, facebook etc. By now Captain Mary will have emailed everyone the January program, if you have not received it please let Mary know. A couple of important dates, Saturday 19th January is a 4BBB Stableford sponsored by Betta Electrical. A great way to start the new year so find a partner and have fun. The Warwick Golf Club will be hosting Australia Day with a 2 Ball Ambrose sponsored by Warwick Real Estate on Monday 28th January. Shotgun start 12md. The club house will be closed but drinks and sausage sizzle will be available on the deck. All members are encouraged to play and support the first of the club’s fundraisers for the year.
The committee looks forward to welcoming all members to golf on Saturday and hope you all enjoy the 2019 Golf Program.
