Clayton Frank continued his amazing run of good form on Saturday when he won the single stableford event at the Warwick Golf Club. His form since resuming his golf some weeks ago after a long break has been nothing short of amazing and his 41 points on Saturday was a shot clear of runner up Aaron Osborne. Keith Clarke and John Urwin both recorded 39 points while Evan Pfeffer (37)David Craggs and Kris McLennan (both on 35) rounded out the run down. The pro pin went to Keith Clarke who received 4 balls while Kris McLennan and Anthony Seidl both got 2 balls and Michael Hoskin put another ball in his collection. Keith Clarke also won the 7th pin in a good day while Peter Darton winning the 9th pin. Well done to Peter who is a relatively new playing member and shows a lot of promise. Josh Keer won the 11th and Mal Galloway the 16th pin. The John Dee Medal of Medals event was played on Sunday and Rhys Farrell who is another player in great form collected the prize with a sizzling 4 under off the stick. Rhys played off 1 and should reduce even further with that hot performance. He defeated Andrew Collins by 5 shots while Peter Gribbin won the B Division of the Medal so well done to both winners and special thanks to John Dee for their yearly support of this event. Next Saturday is Christmas Day so naturally there will be no competition golf however there is a red marked stableford on Sunday, Boxing Day, which is a mixed event. A very happy Christmas to all golfers and followers and a bright and prosperous New Year.
