Warwick Women’s Golf 

Wednesday 11th November Today 30 ladies enjoyed the beautiful Spring weather to play in the Red Rooster Warwick Single Stableford.  Ann Tomkins continued her recent fine form taking home the Chicken with a great 41pts, well ahead of her nearest competitor Kath Devereux on 37pts

Both great scores Ladies, Congratulations. Balls in the rundown went to Joan Burt 37, Di Macdonald 36, Roslyn Darton 35, Judy Lester 35.  The extra balls in leu of pins went to Jill Barnes 32,  Di Evans 32, Eleanor Casey 32, Wendy Rhea 31. The Following field was Annice Payne & Patricia Eastwell 31, Gwen Mills, Tracey Farrell, Judy Stiff & Patti Hemmings 30, Michelle Wright 29, Anna Cox & Gwen Porter 28, Helen Olsen, Yvonne Pinington & Marge Burley 27, Vicki Bennett & Mel McLennan 26, Ann Ellis & Jean Fysh 25, Di Johnston & Sharron Cooper 23, Joy Bowles 21 & Janet Aspinall 17.

Saturday 14th November A smaller field of 18 women played in today's stableford sponsored by Lara Farrell, thank you Lara and a popular trophy for Liz Cockram, with a winning score of 39pts. This is still not quite good enough to put her in the Shoot-Out yet, some ladies are working hard to try and get onto that board! Liz also had a gobble on the 4th - congratulations Liz! Annice won two balls with her 35pts on a countback from Roslyn Darton & Gwen Mills who both received a ball each in the rundown. Extra balls went to Jill Barnes with birdies on the 10th and the 18thand Helen Olsen with 34pts.

The following field was Kath Devereux & Di Evans 34, Patricia Eastwell & Yvonne Pinington 33, Janine Stewart 32, Louise Carey 31, Mel McLennan, Judy Lester, Majella Kahler & Tub Ingall 30, Margie Adcock 24 & Jacqui Millard 22.

Sunday 15thNovember we played our annual Patron Rod Macdonald’s Day, which was a 4BBB mixed Stableford event. 48 players took to the field, which turned out to be a very hot 35 degrees and hot off the clubs were Peter & Michelle Wright with an awesome score of 50pts. We must also mention Peter had a hole in one on the 13th. Runners up with 48pts was Brendon Landrigan & Sam Hinze.

Saturday November 21st  is the BIG W sponsored 4BBB stableford from the red markers and Wednesday 25this the last chance to win a Mid-Week Medal for the year – a white course stroke event.   

Again please don’t forget to support the Women’s AGM held on Sunday 22ndNovember at 1.30pm, any ideas you would like raised please add to the sheet in the presentation roomand also the Warwick Golf Club’s AGM is onMonday 23rdNovember. Prior to the meeting, at 6.30pm, paramedic Kerrin Delaney has kindly volunteered to demonstrate the use of the defibrillators that the club has purchased. We are encouraging members to be there before the AGM to learn the use of these life-saving pieces of equipment. The AGM will start at 7pm.
