Men - 30/10/2019
Last Saturday members played in the Sandy Creek Hotel stableford event and the winner might like to avail himself of the fantastic Sunday night pizzas available at that establishment each week. We again thank the management for their ongoing support of the Warwick Golf Club.
That winner was club champion Kris McLennan who had a 2 under off the stick to record a winning score of 38 stableford points. Great round Kris!!. Scores were close at the top with Kris winning on a countback from Rhys Farrell and Errol McGrady. Rhys had a 2 over off the stick so that too was a great round. Kris had 21 points on the back nine to secure the countback win.
The ball run down saw Errol win a ball along with Ross Kannar on 37, Al Matthews and Mal Galloway along with Rod Winterton, Sean Haynes and Brian Morrison all on 36 points.
The pins went to Adam Nielson on the 5th, Gary Russell-Sharam on the 7th, Ben Griffiths on the 9th, Mick Payne on the 11th and Ray Dudley on the 16th. The pro pin on 13 saw Evan Pfeffer win 4 balls, Rhys Farrell 3, Trevor King 2, and Shane Scotney, Dave Speedy and Slim Eldridge all win a ball each.
Next Saturday members play in the John Dee Monthly Medal on Saturday but before that we have the Queensland Senior Order of Merit event here at Warwick on Friday and there are about 40 visitors playing so the Club would like to match that with local players and therefore members are asked to play in the event which is a 9.00am shotgun start. Please register at the pro shop for the time sheet.
Members should also note that the Condamine Steel shootout is nearing completion with just a couple of weeks left to qualify so could players clearly involved in the event place your shirt size against your name on the scoreboard asap so that shirts can be organised.
